Canadian Center for Architecture Makers of Modern Book Jacket Series

This series of book covers was an assignment for Typography II at Northeastern University with Ernesto Aparicio, a visiting professor from the Rhode Island School of Design. This assignment was intended to bring students to an understanding of typographic system. We designed three book covers for the Canadian Center for Architecture about three architects whose works represent three distinct styles and movements: Louis Sullivan, Richard Neutra, and Frank Gehry. The purpose was to define the format and introduce typography, and color as integral parts of the system, then apply the system that relates the three covers and creates a unified identity for the institution.
